School Clubs

Animal protection clubs started in schools in 1999 with the cooperation of the Ministry of Education. The program encourages learning through the use of modern methodology and good scientific practice, that of gathering recording, interpreting information and reaching constructive conclusions. The students are made aware of the importance of animals as sources of income and livelihood. Positive attitudes reinforce moral education in the belief that animals play a constructive, economic, social and environmental role in society, and therefore should be respected as they serve man and help preserve the balance on earth. SPANA believes that animal abuse originates from ignorance or neglect and therefore we must strive to change habits, behaviors and superstitions. We seek to educate our students in the basic needs for raising healthy animals. The linkage between diseases of humans and animals in introduced to emphasize the importance of keeping animals healthy, and thus helping reduce disease in humans
